I thought this seemed a fitting photo to finish on. This is the sunset over Jericho hill, the view from my house. This photo was taken in April three years ago. The view looks much the same now, though without the incredible red clouds! As in this photo, the trees are coming into leaf and the blossom starting to wane. This photo is very dear to me. It's been the screensaver on my laptop ever since I went away to university; I wanted an image to remind me of home. Over the years of taking photos I feel I've come to know this view intimately. There's hardly a tree or a shadow or a contour that I haven't tried to take a photo of at some point or other. It seems almost ironic that now – three years on – I'm sitting staring at that same view I was so keen not to forget, while revising for my finals and reminiscing about other views that now seem far away. But I know I can't complain! It is a wonderful view and will always be very special to me. I'm grateful to have it in front of me now.
Best wishes to you all,
Mairi
