No. 63, 15th January: Moonrise

This was the last (almost) full moon of 2020! It was very atmospheric watching it rise up through the clouds - the sun had just set, giving a beautiful pink hue to the sky behind. There was a strong breeze pushing the clouds at the top of the frame across the moon, so the shapes and spaces between the clouds were constantly changing. I noticed a gap approaching and decided to wait for everything to align so that the moon was framed between the clouds.


Technical details: Canon 7D MKII + 100-400mm lens at 120mm; 1/640 sec at f/4.5; ISO 500.
